NSH 7749 is a unique variety in terms of early maturity. In 2024, in varietal trials among 55 varieties, NSH 7749 is the earliest in both the flowering period (late June to early July) and the maturity period (mid-September).

It is genetically resistant to downy mildew (Pl6 gene), rust, and sunflower moth. It is genetically resistant to ancient races (A-F+ strains). Highly tolerant to Phomopsis, Macrophomina, leaf spot diseases, stem diseases, and white rot (root and stem forms). It has a strong and robust stem, resistant to lodging.
